The Petty Trial Buys Gang Green Some Time

Fresh off the Kenyan Drake redo score, I was about to announce the death of the 2016 New York Jets. The season stayed on life support though, because it turned out that we might actually get The Petty Trial. Now it's official. As first reported by the WFAN Moore-Lopresti super team, Bryce Petty gets the start today for Gang Green.
Rich Cimini gave us a little insight on the decision...
So basically, Coach Bowles gets it. This is all we got. Our season is pretty close to being damn near over, but we get to breathe with a little help from the unknown. We will finally start to see what we have in Petty, and that is enough not to bury the season.

Now, I am that guy. I am the guy who tunes in today, and hopes our new franchise quarterback catches fire, and somehow saves the season. I am aware though, that is not what we are really doing here. The Petty Trial is all about finding out if Bryce is ready to be the guy that this franchise has forever searched for.

Here's to starting the Petty era at home against Case Keenum and the L.A. Rams. We like Bryce, and we really like betting against west coast teams traveling east for 1 PM kicks.

Viagra Play of the Week - DeAndre Hopkins $7,100 (Texans WR)
(This guy is guaranteed to erect your point total)

Back in the preseason, I was lower on Nuk than the rest of the folks. I had him as my WR7, and I wrote the following about it...

"Brock will be an upgrade for Nuk, but not a Dalton, Rodgers, or even Bortles upgrade."

So thankfully, I am not dealing with a Nuk problem. I have tried to buy low on the guy though. I think he is poised to get going down the stretch, as the JJ-less Texans are somehow lined up to make a strong push for the playoffs. Brock will finally start to look like an upgrade for DeAndre against a sketchy Jacksonville defense. He will be a top 3 scorer at the position this week, and we do not have to pay a top 3 price to use him.

Viagra P.S. - Another guy who has been underperforming, but will get going this week, is my fellow fashionista Cam Newton. His price has fell accordingly, but I love the idea of buying low and getting my hands on him for a fantasy playoff push. The Chiefs' defense is going to bring their goods, but Cam's home cooking will help the real Cam Newton make an appearance in Week 10. If Cam's going to get going, it is worth $6,800 to stack his boy Kelvin Benjamin. When the Cheifs' offense takes the field, their best offensive weapon, Spencer Ware, will make his return from his concussion injury. Coach Reid said he is ready to rock, so roll S-Dubs into your lineups.

BBW - Greg Olsen $5,900 (Panthers TE)
(Blue Balls Warning - This guy will leave you painfully unsatisfied and wanting more)

While our Viagra P.S. Cam Newton will have a day, he will not be including Greg Olsen in the party. As I mentioned, the Chiefs' defense is going to bring their goods, and one of their goods is limiting the opposing tight end. There are much cheaper, more attractive options this week at the position. I am going with Jimmy Graham for $600 less, and you can also save even more, and dive down into the Miller/Ertz/Rudolph dumpster for more fantasy points.

Moped Ride of the Week - Darren Sproles $4,300 (Eagles RB)
(This guy will be fun to ride for the week, but you're not going to want to brag to your friends about doing it)

Sproles is probably a little too sexy to be a Moped Ride, but he is one of the cheaper cats in my lineup, and heck, I make the rules! He is the top back for Eagles, and will be one of the top backs in the weird PPR format this week. I am all in on the "Frank Reich is using him like Danny Woodhead" reports (s/o to Mort, Berry, and anyone I am missing). I will even go as far to say he is an RB1 in standard scoring.

Moped P.S. - Dontrelle Inman gets the nod as the healthy Charger who is going to catch some passes from the Window Throwa this week. He will definitely be outscoring his $3,400 price tag against a fish-out-of-water Dolphin defense traveling west. I hope Clay's reading this.

Road Steel Dogs Take Care of The Ravens

Hope you got it in early because you obviously can't get this line anywhere now a days, but I got it so that's all that matters.

I'm a genius and knew Big Ben was playing.  Seems like the Ravens did too.  Ben loves these rivalry games and even if he's a little hobbled by his knee it is going to take a lot more pain to keep him out of this rivalry.  Both teams that are normally known for defense, will be all about the offense today.  Ben, Bell snd Brown are all playing and because you might not be sure what they do when they all play I'll remind you, they win.

Lay That Big Blue (Mini) Wood

What a long strange season this has already been for my New York Football Giants.  We've had the running game completely ravaged by injuries,  the OBJ and kicking net saga, and of course the disaster that has been Josh Brown.  However, this is all behind us now and it's full steam ahead.

Burns the boats, burn the bridge, burn the Eagles, burn whatever you want and say whatever saying you want, let's get one thing clear, the Giants haven't played one game well all year.  The should scare the rest of th league and they should all take notice.  I know no one will believe unless the Giants do something in a big game.  Well folks, this is the week.  I have a feeling Benny with the Good Hair (buy a shirt), will be just like Andy Reid, and be an absolute beast (no pun intended) after a bye.

And at home???  The Giants have never been a dominant home team since I could remember and it's time for that shit to change.  They need to actually have a home field advantage.  So Big Blue fans you know what to do: GET UP, GET LOUD, LET'S GO BIG BLUE!

Giants in a laugher.

P.S.  Shout out to Josh Huff.  I'm with him what pro athlete doesn't carry a gun?!?!

Viagra Play of the Week - Kelvin Benjamin (Panthers WR)
(This guy is guaranteed to erect your point total)

The big, numba 1 wide out in Carolina has been feast or famine so far throughout this season.  Since he only hauled in 2 catches last week, I did some serious math and have come up with a feast week for Kelvin.  It helps that his quarterback is in need of a monster week after just destroying the refs after last weeks game against the Cardinals.  Benny is poised to have a huge afternoon against the much smaller d-backs from LA.  That coupled with a pissed out QB and  not anywhere to be found on the injury report, look for a huge week from the other #13 in the league.

BBW - Jordy Nelson (Packers WR)
(Blue Balls Warning - This guy will leave you painfully unsatisfied and wanting more)

Tough to call one of my favorites a BBW this week but it happens to all of us.  Sometimes we go out as the best looking dude , with the best dance moves, most money and funniest conversation starters in the book but you still seem to end up alone at the end of the night.    You got so  much ass in your face at the club but you zero in on one chick, she's sexy and seems to be into you but she ends up using you to get a couple cocktails and then leaves.  It's too late to pull anything else, not even a dog, so you are left to go home and just beat it.  Jordy is hands down the best option for A-Rod, but because of such limited options, the Colts defense will be doubling and triple teaming him all day.  He will get a couple of catches but the Colts will make sure he doesn't find the end zone.  Devante Adams and Ty Montgomery are much better, and cheaper options at this spot.

Moped Ride of the Week - Joe Flacco (Ravens QB)
(This guy will be fun to ride for the week but you're not going to want to brag to your friends about doing it)

Is he?  Why yes, Joe Flacco is elite this week.  The Steelers secondary is still trying to figure that whole idea of covering receivers and tackling.  Joe, I like this for you, I like it a lot.  The elite one is looking to exploit the suspect Steeler D in a game that's always tight.  If you love defense, be sure to stay away from this one.  This game will be a shootout and Flacco will thrive.

3 In a Row - That's A Winning Streak!

Here's the deal. The only thing worse than being a Jets' fan is being a Dolphins' fan. I mean, sure, their weather is better, but lets keep it real...they still have Mike Tannenbaum. It's a process folks!

What's not a process is this Gang Green winning streak that is about to happen. Gave me Fitzmagic and Co. in a wild one down in South Beach.

Viagra Play of the Week - Derek Carr $6,300 (Raiders QB)
(This guy is guaranteed to erect your point total)

Fresh off his 500 yard day, you should have sold high on Derek Carr right? Wrong! Fantasy footballers, join me on the not so crowded Derek Carr does NOT fade in the second half bandwagon. My guy DC is going to go out this week and prove to the world that he is for really real against a tough Denver defensive unit. After last week, you would not think a coming out party is necessary, but for some reason, it is. Pay $6,300 and join the party.

Viagra P.S. - In the same game, I'm down with paying $6,300 to get some WR1 production out of Emmanuel Sanders. Carr's defense is not into covering the opposing team's pass catchers. Don't be shocked if he produces better than the $8kers. Speaking of $8kers, OBJ is back from his bye. I am all about quarterbacks no one is talking about, because I also think OBJ's guy, Eli Manning, is worth a start if you need a fill-in this week. Eli, at home, off a bye. TB12 owners this one's for you!

BBW - Jay Ajayi $6,000 (Dolphins RB)
(Blue Balls Warning - This guy will leave you painfully unsatisfied and wanting more)

Here's the deal. I am that guy. We were on our way home from my bachelor party, and Jordan Reed was ruled out. I needed a fill-in, and Arian Foster was active. I used Ajayi the week before, but who needs him with Arian back. So yeah, I am a Jay Ajayi dropper. I have played it cool, acted like I am not phased by his production, but with my guys Jizz Rodgers and Spence Ware ruled out, I am forced to face reality. I could really use some Jay Ajayi right now, but fuck Jay Ajayi. It is time to pick him off. He is still the same guy that forced the Phins to sign Arian Foster. Lets bank on the Jets defense to finally shut down a running back this season. Give me Todd Gurley for $200 cheaper on DraftKings.

Moped Ride of the Week - Chris Ivory $3,200 (Jaguars RB)
(This guy will be fun to ride for the week, but you're not going to want to brag to your friends about doing it)

Everyone's favorite hype train, the Jags, has officially fallen off the track this season. There's a new sheriff in town, as the newly appointed Nathaniel Hackett takes over the offensive coordinator position. If I am Nate...which I could be...for all that you know...I am thinking how the hell do I shake things up a bit. Here's a fresh idea. Stop giving it to that weirdo TJ Yeldon, and feed the 5-year, 32-million-dollar back your organization brought to town. What do you have to lose? And for $3,200, what do we have to lose? Due to the the yuckiness of the position, I like him even more in a standard league.

Moped P.S. - Besides the Window Throwa's familiar face, Antonio Gates, no one is healthy in SD. With Reed, Gronk, Bennett, and Eifert all on bye, the former basketballer is a TE1 this week.

RoadHawks in the Night Cap

The week 7 Sunday Night Football matchup features the class of the NFC West. Expecting father (congrats on the bang - s/o PMT), DangeRUSS Wilson leads his 1st place Hawks into University of Phoenix Stadium to clash with the 2nd place Cardinals. Coming off a Monday Night Football beatdown of our beloved Jets, Carson and Bruce are looking to keep the momentum rolling to close the gap in the division. Unfortunately, for a Cardinals team that is not rolling on all cylinders, despite picking-up back to back wins, Coach Carrol's team seems to be the easy play tonight for all of us playas.

As Carson Palmer continues to battle injuries, the AZ passing attack seems to be a far cry from the 2015 supergroup that it was. Clay outlined it pretty well in his Minaj, where he put the other Fitzgerald in his BBW spot. While the passing game has disappointed, David Johnson has kept the offense from stalling all together by doing his thing out of the backfield. Expect the badass Seahawk defense to key on Johnson tonight, which will cause the Cardinal offense to severely underwhelm at home.

Russell and his group will throw a twenty-spot up on the Cards to follow their defenses' lead to victory. Go Hawks!
