Monday Night Fitz is Back to Lay the Wood With the Hawks

The only two NFC Playoff teams from last season sporting losing records for this current season  meet tonight on Monday Night Fitz to wrap up the Week 4 action. 

It's amazing what one win can do. Heading into last weeks games, both squads we're winless. Russell, a returning Killa Kam and the Hawks silenced the criticism with a win (and cover!) against the Bears. Matty, Mega and the Lions failed to register a tally in the win column and that forced the winless criticism to grow into everyone's favorite burn the QB's jersey criticism. 

KBStafford89 took to instagram and showed a little something this Lions team has been lacking, defense. With DeAndre Levy still out tonight, the Lions defense doesn't seem prepared to find a solution for their recent struggles. Even with Beast Mode out, the Hawks offense contains enough fire power to put enough points on the board to allow their LOB led defense to do the heavy lifting to cover this 10 point wood.

No Points In The Forecast In San Diego

I'm pretty sure the last time these San Diegoans saw this much rain was back in 1904 when the city was discovered by the Germans.  The weather is out of the ordinary for So Cal this time of the year and it will certainly be a factor in todays barn burner between the Chargers and Browns.  The whales vagina will get wet today and it will be gusty.  Both of those factors will not be favorable for a lot of points today. 

The Chargers have been hard pressed to find any consistent offense thus far in 2015 and the Browns are, well, the Browns.  Both are struggling all around to be honest.  Rivers hasn't been able to get it done except when he looks for Danny Woodhead and Keenan Allen.  I never know who's starting under center for the Browns, so that's never good.  The injuries on both teams are monumental.  Basically both teams defenses aren't that great either.

These facts translate to a low score.  It's as simple as that, and if you don't see it that way then let's just agree to disagree.

Clay's Week 4 Fantasy Minaj

Viagra Play of the Week - Amari Cooper (Raiders WR-Draft Kings $6,300)  

(This guy is guaranteed to erect your point total)

Can I talk any more about my man crush for Amari Cooper anymore than I already do?  Yes, yes, I think I can.  The dude is a stud and is a must start every week, but I think this week will be his true coming out party.  Receptions and yards have increased over Cooper's first 3 games and you should expect that trend to continue today against the pathetic Bears.  Carr will look for Cooper all day and he will come through for his QB.  Look for 10+ catches with over 150 yards and 2 TDs.  

BBW - DeAndre Hopkins (Texans WR-Draft Kings $7,300)

(Blue Balls Warning - This guy will leave you painfully unsatisfied and wanting more)

The Texans stink.  Well, not really but Ryan Mallett really stinks and this guy is really holding this team back.  I now understand that Arian Foster will be a go today for the Texans, so I can see the running game getting most of the offensive time in Atlanta.  The Texans are going to want to make sure that they keep the Falcons explosive weapons off of the field and drain the clock as much as possible.  The Falcons defense especially against the pass has impressed e and I think they'll bottle up Hopkins just like the Panthers did in week 2.  Look for about 4 catches for 55 yards, so if you have better options don't be afraid to have DeAndre ride the pine.

Moped Ride of the Week - Ted Ginn Jr. (Panthers WR-Draft Kings $3,400)

(This guy will be fun to ride for the week but you're not going to want to brag to your friends about doing it)

Who else is Killa Cam going to throw it to?  He clearly has no confidence in this Funchess guy, as Ginn has double the amount of targets (that one's for Fitzy) and the former Jet great, Jericho Cotchery is hurt.  Ginn has actually looked pretty good this season.  You can tell that he's been putting in extra work with Cam and he's been rewarded on the field.  Another key to Ginn's game is the returning prowess that he's possessed ever since his college days at Ohio State.  If Ginn gets loose on a kickoff that'll just be icing on the case of a game that should see him total about 100 yards while finding the end zone once.

Raider Wood Is My Favorite

Well I'll be damned if Fitz can go out of his way and talk about his OVA of the year and I can't, so I'm here to talk about my black hole lovin' sons of bitches; daaaaaaa Rrrrrraiderssss!

I really love this team.  Love the AC/DC connection, I  mean that shit is going to be a ridiculous for the next bunch of years.  I told you before the season started that Derek Carr was for real and even though he had a rough season in his rookie campaign, I had all of the confidence in the world in him.  The Raiders caught a beat down at home against the Bengals in week 1, but since then they've put it all together.

This will be the second time in as many weeks that Oakland will be road favorites and I mean when was the last time that happened?  I'm being serious, I have no clue, but it had to have been like 2002 or something like that.  Pretty crazy.  But I'm glad to see that even Vegas is starting to jump on this Raiders bandwagon that I am leading.

The Bears are a joke.  Is Cutler playing?  Does it even matter?  I mean who is Cutler going to toss the rock to anyways if he plays?  Jeffery isn't playing and everyone else sucks so I'm pretty sure Mr. Kristin Cavallari will sit out another week with that phantom injury.  These guys basically gave up after Cutler first got injured in Week 2.  To fly to Seattle and have 10 drives resulting in 10 punts is giving the fuck up.  Then after getting shut out and trading half of your defense away is literally throwing in the towel on the season.  Not too sure who they have their eyes on for that number 1 pick in the 2016 draft, but he must be an absolute stud with the way this once proud franchise has been playing as of late.  Total embarrassment.

The thought of the Raiders going into Chicago and just blasting the Bears is an interesting concept, but the Raiders are like T.N.T; they're dynamite!  I mean the Bears are on the Highway to Hell today, because these Raiders are Back in Black and all of those Chicagoans are going to be Thunderstruck!

Matty Ice & co host the JJ Watt led Texans defense this week and it seems like everyone is all sketched out about the matchup. Fitzy hates that Matt Ryan is the most under appreciated QB in the league. Get him in your lineup and thank me later when Julio and Hank are catching balls in the endzone. The $6,900 price tag on Draft Kings is sooooooo right.

I guess the good news here is that there probably isn't any room left on the Karlos Williams bandwagon. Everyone is jocking Karlito in DFS and season longs this week. Sorry to be the buzz kill folks but this 5th rounder is going to leave you wanting more. Clay's GMEN haven't been able to stop a nose bleed but I think that changes this week as they head to upstate New York.

Clay Takes The Chief Road Dogg

It's time for for your boy to take the inevitable Road Dogg with those Kansas City Chiefs against the Bengals.  Oh and they way I've been feeling about my Road Dogg's the past couple of weeks Cincinnati, YOUR ASS BETTER CALL SOMEBODY!!  Because those Chief's are yelling "You see it's me, it's me, it's Clay's Road D-O-double G"

The Chiefs have started off the season slowly by losing 2 of the first 3 games, but they're schedule was not kind.  The loses came at the hands of Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers.  Not only are those two a couple of the best quarterbacks of all time, but they Broncos defense is no slouch.  

Kansas City seems to have the same old problem every season and it's Alex Smith.  The guy can't move the ball.  Jamaal Charles can only do so much and he isn't getting younger.  The only team that I can think of that's more mediocre than the Chiefs are the Bengals.  

Headed by the Red Rifle, the Bengals, have never won a big game.  And what I mean by that is a playoff game.  These Bengals have tons and tons of talent on this team and really should be thought of as a team that could go far in the playoffs, but they just do not have the right quarterback and coach combination.  Marvin Lewis is too nice of a guy.  I mean nice coaches never win the Super Bowl and neither to ginger quarterbacks.  It's a fact, it's never happened.

I understand this isn't the Super Bowl, but some may say that it's the Chiefs Super Bowl.  They need to get off the schneid because is they fall to 1-3 their season could be over early, so:

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages.  Kansas City proudly presents to you the soon to be most recent Clay cover of the yeeeearrr!  The Bengals will take the Chiefs lightly and lose the game out right at home in true Bengal fashion.  Now if you're not down with that, then I got two words for ya!!!!  SUCK IT!!!!

NY Morning Wood Sports makes their 2015 Thursday Night Football debut tonight (as one half of the poster duo for this column makes his 2015 debut) and your boy Fizty is here to tell you NYMWS is still ALL IN on the Steelers winning at least 9 games this year. 

Now don't get me wrong. Ben means a lot to me, Ben means a lot to the Steelers and Mrs. Fitzy's 12th round keeper means a lot to her also. But no one man is bigger than the season long wager team. It's next man up time and it just so happens NYMWS favorite Mike Vick (Chris Collinsworth Voice) is that next man for the boys in black and yellow. 

Sure Vick looked like hot garbage on a bad Jet's team last season but this is a totally different situation he is in with a good Steeler's team tonight. Bell and Brown will make sure this offense posts at least 20 on the T Swizzle less Raven's defense and that should be just what we need to win some cash with the home dogs.
