Every week all of us try to find that one slam dunk, that one easy W to take home some cash. This pick I'm about to explain is for all those mushes out there, but 2 losers in particular, Charles Barkley and Thomas Vanek.
Chuck is notorious for gambling, well in his case we can just call it losing. He's come out and said that his gambling "problem" has cost him 10 million bucks, meaning he's got to be at least 20 million in the hole because degenerates like himself will never give an accurate loss figure. Barkley loves to tweak the Knicks too, and for some reason the higher ups at TNT must love his anti-New York shtick because he calls EVERY Knick game on that stupid hick channel. I mean Chuck must bet hard against the Knicks all 82 games. The guy should give up losing his money and turn to a different hobby. Golf maybe???
As for Vanek, this guy just sucks all around. I mean at least Barkley was a good basketball player, Vanek can't even play hockey well. Thomas Vanek is an all around nitwit. I mean this is the same guy that turned down the Islanders 7 year $50 million deal last February to test the free agent market. *SPOILER ALERT* Vanek signed a 3 year $19.5 million deal over the summer with Minnesota That's over 30 million Vanek left on the table. Idiot.
Vanek's mush status isn't as brutal as Barkley's, but his schmuck status may take the cake. A story came out over the summer that Vanek may be involved in a money laundering case at an upstate New York restaurant, turns out he had nothing to do with laundering any money he's just an awful gambler. He gave a $230,000 check over to his bookie to "get them off his back" after being just straight awful at predicting football games. The funny part is not that he gave a check, which is obviously easily traceable, but that he just endorsed one of his New York Islanders checks over to clear his debt. Vanek is a disgrace to all human kind and hopefully he can just go away sooner than later.
Barkley and Vanek may not be my favorite guys, but they are more than welcome to take some advice and learn how to lay that wood correctly. And I don't lay just any wood I lay that hard shit. So some may say I lay the "Holtz", am I right Lou??
As all of you know, laying the wood, is betting the HEAVY favorite and this week I'm heading out to wine country/Danny Tanner's hometown/the most recent TitleTown of the MLB, San Francisco. Northern Cali will host an NFC West match up between the 49ers(4-3) and the Rams(2-5) where the Niners are a big 9.5 point favorite.
This is already these teams 2nd game of the season, as they met a couple of weeks ago on Monday night football in St. Louis. The game featured the home team dominating the first quarter by taking a quick 14-0 lead but then were outscored 31-3 the rest of the game as San Fran rolled to an easy W on the road.
This week the 49ers are coming off a restful bye week, while the Rams just got shellacked in Arrowhead at the hands of the Chiefs. The Rams are a bad beat up team with a 3rd string quarterback, sketchy running game, and a defense that is not good in any facet. Oh yea and did I say they just lost their best receiver, Brian Quick, for the season to a busted up shoulder? AKA this game is not going to be pretty for St. Louis.
So, Barkley and Vanek, if you have any brain at all you will shell out the big bucks on the 49ers this weekend, but always remember guys bet with your head not over it!
