Fitzy Lays the Wood With His Regulars

It's been a tough couple of weeks for two of my main stays, but I'm a loyal cat so I'm back to do the do with the Jets and Steelers in week 9.

After dropping two straight Coach Bowles will get the Gang Green season back on track today with a decisive victory over the 2-5 Jaguars. Thankfully, my main man Fitzy will be gutting it out for the Jets under center today. With how banged up the offense is, we were probably a Geno Smith start away from that awful "Same Old Jets" feeling that we all know all too well. Look for the rest of the Jets offense to man up and follow Fitzy's lead to a solid day against a ho-hum Jags defense.

Blake Bortles, A-Rob and TJ have led a Jax offense that is certainly on the come up. Unfortunately for this young group the Jets defense has some "minor loafs" that needs some fixing. Revis, Mo, Leonard and Cro will make a statement for the home team today to prove that they still are the baddest of the NFL's bad ass defenses.

JETS (-8) 27 - Jaguars 10

Today's battle at Heinz field between the Steelers and Raiders is looking like a pivotal matchup for the AFC Wild Card race. The Raiders better ask themselves what they're gonna do when Big Ben runs throws wild on you. The Raiders are .500 for the first time in forever this last in the season and they've found away to do with one of the worst secondaries in the league. They've given up a ton of passing yards and I think that trend continues today with a 500 yard and 5 TD performance from Big Ben.

As I mentioned last week I'm all about the AC/DC and Lat Murray offensive group, but I think they get picked off by our old friend 'west coast team traveling east for a 1:00 PM kick'. With the Steelers offense pouring it on, and the Raiders offense not being able to keep up, expect Pitt to cover the number easily for us.
